PARENT POWER

Parents were an integral part of producing this carnival. The entire fundraising initiative (Valentine Pictograms and the Mother's Day Magnets) worked primarily because the parents were very responsive. They also purchased caricatures of their children en masse at the Carnival. To honor the parents who helped on the day of the "School 16 Loves Our Students" 1st annual carnival, we gave each of them a pin that read, "Parent Power."

This mom was named School 16 "Parent of the Year" for all of the things she did throughout the year to help the school.
