School 16, a  school located in a Title 1 district, was revitalized when the  Paterson Public School District decided to tear down the old School 16 and build a new one. School 16 reopened in 2016 with new leadership and new faculty in a new building. It was a rebirth of sorts, which provided its stakeholders in the community better facilities for student learning and a wonderful playground for the community to use.
