Course Description
This graduate course is designed to examine the principles of administering and managing a school building with an emphasis on budget and facilities on a day-to-day basis. Topics will include the operations of the school as related to budgeting of resources, management of the plant, and design of the organization’s structure within the building. Site based management, whole school reform, facility use, plant maintenance, delegation of responsibility, and accountability will also be included. The use of technology to assist and enhance these functions will also be explored.
